Hi Wombat Family!

You probably expected a ‘year’s summary’ post — got you! That’ll come later but for now, we have more exciting news to share.

Ever since launching the $WOMBAT token, with every new utility feature came more demand. The fact that there are over 300M $WOMBAT tokens locked in staking proves that assets with real utility are highly appreciated. Which is why we’re making purchasing even more accessible — now through Banxa with your card!

Partnership with BANXA

Initiated through the AtomicHub integration first, our partnership with BANXA opens a new chapter, with the $WOMBAT token now available for direct purchase with a card in the Wombat app!

Historically speaking, ease of asset handling was always in the core of our DNA. By giving $WOMBAT a new avenue, we hope to bring the ultimate gaming experience to even more people across the globe, showcasing the power of a truly utility-driven token and an exemplary Web3 gaming app on a larger scale.

To a large extent, our motivation also comes from within. We always keep a close ear on the community’s feedback, and we are aware of the struggles that come with buying tokens in certain locations. Many of our community members have been asking for more $WOMBAT off-ramps outside of Kucoin and of course our internal rewards, and we’re thrilled to provide them with a flexible, on-demand option.

To purchase $WOMBAT tokens via Banxa, please update your Wombat app to the latest version.

Depending on the community feedback and demand, we may leverage this partnership to expand the support for other NFT projects on WAX (more details on that in an earlier post on AtomicHub).
