Bridge service live on February 9th, 2023.

We are very excited to share our next release with you. The community of Betsy collectors has been growing, and thanks to your recent community votes, we are excited to announce the release of the brand-new two-way bridge between the WAX and Polygon ecosystems!

The bridge is scheduled to go live on February 9th, 2023, and will allow you to tap into one of the largest NFT ecosystems in the blockchain space.

Let’s go!

To use the upcoming bridge, all you have to do is connect your WAX wallet to the bridge, and choose the Eternal Betsy you want to bridge. Then, follow the instructions to start the process.

Bridging back, and forth!

You need an Ethereum-based wallet (like Metamask) to bridge your Betsy. Make sure that your wallet is connected to the Polygon network.

Initially, bridging an Eternal Betsy is free of charge. Just make sure to have some MATIC tokens to cover gas fees. If you don’t have an Eternal Betsy yet, now is the time to get involved on Betsify.me.

That’s a bargain!

Once bridged, you’ll be able to transfer and use the Betsy NFT on the Polygon side as you see fit. List it on secondary markets like Opensea, or set it as a profile picture on social media. And don’t worry, you can always bridge back to unlock your Betsy on the WAX side.

So, how does it work behind the curtain? Transferring your WAX-based NFT to the bridge contract validates ownership and locks your NFT on the WAX side. Then, an Eternal Betsy is minted to your connected wallet address on the Polygon side using the ERC-721 standard.

The initial release of the bridge is only for Eternal Betsy NFTs. The bridge is ready to be opened up to more 1/1 collections on WAX. More on that later!

Time to tap into one of the largest NFT ecosystems in the space. Let’s show the world what we’re all about.

Stay tuned for February 9th.
