Time to level up!
Hello Wombat Family!
With a new, crispy fresh version of the desktop app out, we never stopped working on thinking about new exciting things to add to Wombat overall. And today, we’d like to introduce to you our XP system!
What is this?
Wombat XP is our first step in making the Wombat app a more social experience. Similar to Profiles on Steam or any other game launchers, this will be your way of showing off your prowess as a gamer to the world. With a system of achievements and publicly open rewards you get for leveling up, you will be able to flaunt everything you’ve done in Wombat so far — from your gaming activities to your VIP status and many more!
Best part, if you’ve used Wombat for a while, you won’t have to start from scratch. We will retroactively push all the achievements you have accumulated so far, so you will be able to see it in your XP profile right away!
How can I get XP?
The easiest way to farm XP is by playing games on Wombat. For example, for every rewarded milestone in the Playground games, you will also get XP points. But that’s not all! Completing Quests and Challenges in Wombat also warrants XP — you will see exactly how much in every instance.
In addition to that, for those who want to crank things up a little, we’ll be adding a few other ways to increase your XP gains shortly after launch. Those include XP boosts, special lootboxes and trading Wombucks for a portion of XP points.
What do I get for leveling up?
Upon reaching certain levels, you will get exclusive NFTs that we do not distribute elsewhere. You can use them in Dungeon Master or keep flaunting them in your XP profile. Sometimes, leveling up will also unlock new quests and challenges for you — but we don’t want to spoil the surprise completely just yet 😉
What else can I expect?
Initially, the XP system will be plainly built around accumulating these points and showing off your in-game activities. We’re planning tons of ways of expanding the XP system. Achievement badges for your activity in the app, a leaderboard with seasonal NFT rewards and many other exciting things ahead!
