to bring you new features and partnerships that make your gaming experience even more awesome. We’re stoked to share with you some of the highlights of the month, including developments on Acryptia Season 3, with all its epic new features, including our awesome new partnership with Alien Worlds.

So sit back, relax, and get ready for a recap of all the awesomeness that went down this month!

VENUE LABS

Venue Labs went live on March 9th, 2023, offering a great, decentralised replacement for the way players upgrade Brigade Equipment, enhance equipment, upgrade collectors, craft Series 2 venues, and create Ta-cores. Crafting requires certain Taco NFTs, SHING and payment of a Venue Owner SHING Fee.

Players must activate the crafting sections using ONI, which remains open for 7 days. The ONI cost increases with more crafting sections.

ONI DISTRIBUTION CHANGES

In the past 9 months, we have introduced two strong use-cases for ONI tokens with Acryptia and Automators, and are planning to add more in the future.

Throughout March, we made improvements to the ONI distribution model, including lower thresholds, more staking thresholds, and increased capacity for Legendary and Mythic Collectors. We also moved the Old Collector Blend to the new Venue Labs interface and updated the capacity for Legendary and Mythic Collectors. On March 15th, the Series 1 Collector Drop closed, and unsold Tiny Collectors were burned.

ℹ️ Automators briefly underwent maintenance on March 6th to introduce the Automators Unassign feature, allowing players to unassign Automators from Venues without using Energy.

ACRYPTIA

We want to thank all our players who participated in Acryptia Season 2, which ended on March 12th. Over 85,000 runs were played, and more than 1,600 medals were collected, which was an amazing accomplishment. We extend our congratulations not only to the 99 players who completed the Season and to everyone who won Silver and Bronze medals.

But this is just the beginning. Acryptia Season 3 now live!

Play now on desktop: play.acryptia.io

On April 4th, the Dungeon officially reopened. This season lats 54 days and features over 170 Skins, a customizable deck, Body Gear, Full game access with Google and Facebook, Fire Monsters, and a Save game feature. We’re also introducing a Season Pass, which eliminates the need for a brazier and ranked games, allowing you to focus on the adventure.

Stay tuned for more information about the calendar and the new features of Acryptia Season 3. We’re grateful for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you in the Dungeon again!

ACRYPTIA SKIN DROP

The Skin Drop was a massive success, with a large number of players getting their hands on some awesome skins. If you missed out on this event, don’t worry — you are able to collect Skins through Acryptia Season Pass and through weekly drops!

SHNAZZY DECK DROP

On March 30th at 16:00 UTC, we held a drop for Shnazzy’s E-Girls Custom Deck. The drop included 250 Deck Boxes and 250 Hero cards.

The Deck Box is a single Skin NFT that allows players to use Shnazzy’s custom deck made of 48 original designed cards, while the Hero card is a playable Hero Skin NFT.

There are still a few Deck Boxes left, don’t miss out!

UPCOMING! TACO x ALIEN WORLDS

We announced an exciting partnership with Alien Worlds. As part of this partnership, special events called A2 Boss Battles will be held during Acryptia Season 3.

To participate in the A2 Boss Battles, players must have Ancient Gem NFTs, with only 250 Gems set to be released in Season 3. Players will have to complete a collective Acryptia task to win great prizes, including a new collaboration with The Forge Arena.

During each A2 Boss Battle, 20,000 TLM will be distributed between players based on their points share.

This partnership marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration that will involve not only Taco and Alien Worlds communities but also the entire WAX ecosystem.

TACO UNIVERSE — NEW VENUE SERVICE!

On March 27th, we introduced a new service for Venues: Venue Logos. Now, Venues at Level 180 can set their own logos, which will provide another opportunity for them to stand out in the Taco Universe. In order to change the picture, Venue owners must upload an IPFS hash, which can be created by uploading your image to a platform like Pinata or NFT Storage. You can find this Venue Service among other Services in the Taco Whitepaper.
